PG&E's Electric organization is focused on delivering safe and reliable electricity to our customers.
As a whole, Electric is responsible for all aspects of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, restoration and emergency response.

Position Summary

The Engineer Rotation Development Program for Electric is a 12-month rotation program that provides engineers an opportunity to gain meaningful engineering experience in up to two departments within Electric focused on improving PG&E's large network of electric transmission and distribution facilities.
The rotations will occur within the Fresno service territory.

Responsibilities

With six months in each rotation, participants will have enough time to learn about the rotational department and contribute to the department's success.
Engineers can expect to work within PG&E's Fresno service territory with rotation opportunities in Asset Management, Transmission Operations or Distribution Operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates will have received or be receiving a Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering graduating or graduated May 2019 June 2021 from an ABET accredited university.
  • Must have a valid driver s license or obtain one at least 30 days prior to start date.
    Will need to obtain a California s driver s license if current license is from another state.

Desired Qualifications

  • Completed coursework in Electrical Engineering with power emphasis:
    Power Systems, Analysis, Transmission Lines, System Protection/Substations, and other related courses
  • Former PG&E Internship
  • 3.
    0 GPA or greater in both cumulative GPA and major GPA
  • Strong communications, initiative, and teamwork
  • Work experience or internships in utilities, power industry, or other power related fields

PG&E typically is unable to provide VISA sponsorship to students on an F-1, J-1 or other student visa for this position.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
