Evaluate and fully execute the approved production plans presented by Sales and Operations Planning.
Focus on specific manufacturing sources and supports the overall Sales and Operations Planning process.
Execute the plans to meet customer required date.
Coordinate and work with all involved departments and external customers to exceed the company, departmental, and client's goals and objectives.
Develop production plans and scheduling.
Monitor production schedule performance, define any variances and take corrective action to prevent future occurrences.
Develop relevant performance metrics, monitor performance and issue monthly reports.
Maintains reports to reflect scheduling methods, support performance and process proceduresObjectives:
Develop & execute overall production plan presented by Sales and Operations Planning.
Review and monitor capacity requirements and report any variances with proposed corrective actionsManage schedule changes using the MRP Exception Message and report any changes in the production planManage inventory levels to established target levels, monitor and report inventory shortages and make management aware of any potential liability.
Manage valid priorities and control priorities using the daily dispatch list and review with the Production Supervisor/Production Lead employee, daily, to monitor performance against the daily dispatch list.
Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, APICS certified or equivalent job experience.
Minimum 4-5 years of Production Planning/Scheduling experience in a Job Shop fast paced manufacturing environment.
Excellent oral and written persuasive communication and presentation skills.
Proven track record of progressive accomplishment and growing a business.
Skilled in use of Power Point and Microsoft Office Professional.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
