BUDGET OFFICER
THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION. Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the BUDGET OFFICER, GS-0560-12, is to provide management oversight and guidance for both budget formulation and budget execution according to the Resource Management System (RMS). The incumbent is recognized as the top technical authority regarding fiscal and budgetary policy, law, and regulatory guidelines for all organizations serviced by the Wing Budget Office. The incumbent fosters an environment conducive to teamwork among resource managers and decision-makers in meeting the objectives and goals of the Resource Management System. This incumbent accomplishes budget functions in support of state and federal Air National Guard operations, training, and readiness missions, and the contingency operations of its total force and joint service partners. Experience:
Must possess a minimum of one year on-the-job experience in the grade immediately below or equivalent to the next higher level and a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of financial management. BUDGET OFFICER, GS-0560-12:
Must have at least 36 months of finance budget experiences and competencies that provided knowledge of financial principles and procedures; Experience understanding oin-depth knowledge of financial principles and procedures with understanding of the principles and concepts of the National Guard financial budget business program requirements; Experience that demonstrates the abilities to lead, follow directions, read, retain, and understand a variety of instructions, regulations, policies and procedures. This is a Financial Management Level Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d. Incumbent shall comply with the requirements of this certification program. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies:
