Purchasing Analyst - Food Processing

Large food processing company in the Fresno area has an opportunity for an experienced, professional Purchasing Analyst who has purchased packaging materials and developed packaging specifications. This full-time position is responsible for:
Purchasing packaging materials to meet production requirements. This includes film, cartons, cases, bags, shipping supplies, drums, bins
Reviewing and overseeing the inventory levels of packaging and related materials for production
Creating and maintaining an Item Master File, including product structure information
Coordinating with Purchasing Manager and updating standard costs in database twice a year
Communicating packaging material revisions and updates (for new and existing items) to internal departments
Coordinating return of defective materials with vendors and company personnel
Resolving credits due for returned materials with accounting and vendors
Recommending new potential materials to improve quality, production efficiency, cost and sustainability

Minimum 3 years' experience with packaging products, preferably in Purchasing; 4-year degree in business or related field. Strong computer skills with intermediate to expert level knowledge of MS Word and Excel; experience with data bases; strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have a strong detail organization, have excellent planning skills, able to work effectively in a demanding environment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
