Materials Handler
Plan long and short term objectives, schedule, prioritize and sequence as the Logistics Coordinator.
Balance resources with workload priorities.
Develops space transition plans and coordination of Relocation Services.
Receives, stores, handles and issues supplies, materials, equipment and furnishings throughout VACCHCS.
Schedules maintenance as necessary to accommodate areas for proposed moves.
Must use general policies, guidelines, objectives and goals to accomplish operational planning that builds collaborative relationships with other services.
Uses material handling tools including:
hand trucks, carts, common hand tools, i.
e.
hammers, screw drivers, pinch bars, Allen wrenches, cord less drill/screwdrivers, pliers etc.
Conducts daily inspections of areas, equipment and operations to ensure adequacy and compliance with VA and other regulatory standards.
Investigates work related problems, implements corrective action within authorized authority to resolve problems.
Accountable to the Chief, EMS for the quantity and quality of work done.
Responsibilities include receiving, locating, storing, shipping, and re-warehousing materials.
