Sanger, CA Department Operations Job Posting Lehigh Hanson is one of the largest suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry inNorth America.
Our companies produce a broad range of building materials, including cement, aggregates (crushed rock, sand and gravel), ready mixed and precast concrete, asphalt, concrete pipes, pavers, tiles and clay bricks.
Responsibilities:
Understand and work with QC/QA to maximize product specifications and minimize waste.
Seek out opportunities for improved efficiencies.
Coordinate sand and gravel operation production schedules.
Ensure product inventory control measures and accuracy in mine production reporting.
Ensure a safe and clean working environment and that the plant and mobile equipment are kept in safe and optimal working condition to maximize throughput.
Audit production processes and implement best practices.
Track compliance of all necessary permits with assistance from the Environmental department.
Interact with local, state and federal agencies related to the mining industry.
Work with company management to develop yearly budgets and prioritize special projects and process improvement.
Qualifications:
College Degree preferably in engineering or equivalent mechanical construction work experience.
Experience with site permitting (stormwater, NPDES, air quality, etc.
) and mine planning strongly preferred.
Experience in site development, construction and stone/sand and gravel processing strongly preferred.
Extensive knowledge of lean aggregate production/maintenance for AGG processing equipment, mobile equipment, and ancillary equipment.
Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office productsAggQC, and AutoCAD, highly preferred.
Experience with capital and operating budget development at the plant level, along with sound knowledge of plant financial reporting.
Demonstrated experience in reducing/minimizing operating cost and improving productivity.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate and execute capital projects by allocating resources appropriately to ensure normal business demands are met.
Demonstrated leadership, project management, strategic thinking, problem solving and analytical, interpersonal, motivational and organizational skills.
Ability to make timely and critical decisions, ability to work under conditions of stress, and deal with a multitude of tasks simultaneously.
