EYE-Q Vision Care is seeking applicants for the position of Clinic Manager to join our Clinic Department.
We are seeking a candidate with great communication and interpersonal skills who can develop and mentor others.
The Clinic Manager will be responsible for providing leadership in all areas of staff and patient care, implementing and ensuring adherence to the policies and standards, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the clinic.
DUTIES/
Responsibilities:
Performs ongoing staff training needs assessments, new hire training, and annual mandatory training and competencies.
Provides final decision making on hiring and disciplinary actions in conjunction with Human Resources.
Adheres to and ensures that team adheres to HIPAA regulations, employment laws, and California privacy/security laws.
Oversees on-going management of clinical activities, clinic and technical schedules for EYE-Q facilities, and all doctors' schedules.
Addresses patient care issues and ensures completion of patient phone calls/communications.
Reports medical device issues to the appropriate personnel, provides input for equipment purchases, directs maintenance requirements, and maintains equipment manuals.
Directs and participates in Quality Improvement Committee.
Communicates department goals, changes, and strategic initiatives to staff.
Performs timekeeping responsibilities such as reviewing and approving timecards for payroll.
Participates in annual planning and budget processes and is held accountable for managing within the budgeted expenses, such as maintaining lower than targeted overtime rates.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to train staff and gather information to streamline processes.
Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, committed to continuous improvement.
Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, NextGen, and other software and applications.
Knowledge of record-keeping and basic accounting.
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Two years' previous management experience.
Ophthalmic experience (preferred).
Associate of Science (preferred).
COA, COT, or COE (preferred).
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in an ophthalmology setting.
Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
This is a full time position with a benefits package.
Salary rate will be determined based on experience and training of the candidate.

SALARY:
$83,000 - $111,000 per year depending on experience, skills, and education.
