In your role, you will see a wide variety of cases including:
traumatic brain injury, craniotomy, endoscopic transsphenoidal for tumor resection, shunt placements and more! We encourage learning and growth and welcome training new team members in the neurosurgery specialty - regardless of the stage of your career!In your role, you will:
o Gather and prepare instruments, equipment, medications and supplies for each case and according to doctors' preference cards.
o Establish and maintain sterile field and surgical aseptic technique.
o Assist in transporting and preparing the patient for surgical procedure (i.
e.
shaving, positioning and draping).
o Perform first scrub functions and procedures in the majority of surgical procedures performed at the facility.
o Assist the surgeon and surgical team by passing instruments, sutures, medications and/or supplies as appropriate.
