Kimberlite Corporation-Sonitrol, a proven leader in the low-voltage electronic security industry, is seeking a motivated individual with proven warehouse experience to become a member of our SONITROL team in Fresno, CA.
Primary Responsibility:
The Logistics/Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing the inventory stock, ordering, disbursing, counting, and recording all inventory transactions.
Specific Duties:
Maintain an adequate supply of stock and other material for issue.
Order materials based on demand and minimum order points to ensure proper inventory stock.
Prepare and issue stock and materials on a daily basis to comply with installation and service requirements.
Maintain accurate counts in the appropriate inventory management system.
Conduct periodic physical counts, generate and submit reports and investigate variances.
Input accurately all stock and inventory transactions into appropriate inventory management system, databases, spreadsheets, billing systems, and/or information management systems using web-based reports and systems, as well as transactions submitted via various means of communication.
Maintain efficient workflow and respond in a timely manner to all inquiries via email, telephone and/or fax.
Maintain quality of inventory by periodically reviewing age and relevant expiration of stock, as applicable and submitting quality review reports for review with supervisors.
Coordinate and test used equipment for recurring utilization as possible, ensuring such stock is properly accounted for in the appropriate inventory management system.
Process repair orders for stock and other electronics for shipment/receipts from vendors and maintain appropriate tracking records Handle shipping and receiving responsibilities such as packing and preparing items for shipment to branches or appropriate site, unpacking items received in the warehouse, inspecting and documenting received materials Perform exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
Coordinate activities with other department supervisors, as necessary.
Ensure compliance with all Company policies, as well as all Federal, State and Local OSHA regulations.
Provide and maintain an organized, clean and safe work environment through personal actions.
Identify any safety concerns, as well as cost saving opportunities.
Ensure security and custodial care of company stock and materials secured in the warehouse area, and provide immediate notice to appropriate supervisory personnel regarding any security concern that could result in property loss.
Interpret and research equipment specifications for other departments.
Recommend measures to improve work methods.
Suggest changes to increase efficiency of warehouse and processes.
Other duties as requested Experience and Skills Required knowledge of inventory control software, order processing systems, accounting, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
Ability to schedule own tasks and handle all facets of assigned projects independently and with minimal supervision.
Ability to perform in-depth problem solving.
Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external contacts.
Qualifications/Additional Skills:
Minimum High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferably with an Associate's Degree 2-4 years related experience or equivalent combination.
Prefer technical and/or electronics related background and experience Physical Requirements:
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; hear or talk:
use close vision; use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects; and type and manipulate controls.
Employee is occasionally required to use distance vision, stand, kneel or crouch and lift up to 50 lbs.
