Qualified candidates must be detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and heavy calendaring.
Should be able to prioritize and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.
Candidates must also have professional telephone skills.
Responsibilities will include administrative office duties as well as opening and processing of mail, calendaring, filing, scheduling depositions, preparation of client correspondence, processing of vendor bills, preparation of pleadings and discovery.
Preferred work experience would include:
3-5 years of previous legal secretary work; Ability to type 65
wpm; Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written form; Ability to communicate effectively with clients, address immediate concerns and manage expectations; Excellent word processing skills utilizing Microsoft Word, iManage, CompuLaw and Excel; Experience with e-filings with state and federal courts, trial preparation; Basic knowledge of legal terminology.
