Empower Solar is a full service, residential solar installer looking experienced and driven individuals to join our ever-expanding team.
We are currently looking for a full-time Project Estimator.
The Project Estimator will be responsible for providing accurate and timely material and cost estimates for solar energy projects.
The Estimator will work closely with designers, project managers and engineers to develop material and cost estimates for various stages of the project lifecycle, including design, construction, and operation.
Qualifications:
Previous solar installation or design experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
2 years of estimating experience in solar PV and managing subcontracts preferred.
Experience with design/build and Engineer, Procure, Construct (EPC).

Must be self-driven, highly motivated.
Has to be goal and task oriented.
Knowledge of residential construction.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be a team player and a people person who enjoys talking to customers.
Solution minded.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
High level of organizational skills and professionalism.
Ability to work in a fast-moving environment maintaining a positive attitude in stressful situations.
Key
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain material and cost estimation models for residential and commercial solar energy projects.
Review project specifications and engineering plans to identify key cost drivers and project risks.
Work with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and develop accurate material and cost estimates.
Prepare and present detailed material and cost estimates to project stakeholders, including internal and external customers.
Support the development of project budgets and financial models.
Conduct cost sensitivity analyses to identify potential cost savings and risks.
Participate in bid proposal development, including the development of cost estimates and bid schedules.
Maintain a current understanding of market trends, pricing, and technology developments within the renewable energy industry.
Analyze regional labor rates and per diems to be used in the estimate.
Fishbowl & QuickBooks software knowledge is preferable Job Type:
