Safety, Training and Compliance Manager
We are seeking a safety, training & compliance manager to join of growing company.
The safety, training and compliance manager specializes in enforcing safety policies and developing training programs for employees, as well as esuring compliance with local, state and federal law.
Responsibilities include:
Assessing existing programs and plans, recommending and implementing the best practices, and facilitating procedures to optimize business operations Conduct regular safety inspections and performance assessments, monitoring improvements as needed.
Lead and encourage the workforce to reach goals, all while implementing the company's safety policies and regulations Handles workers compensation claims, investigation, including all reporting and OSHA Sets the tone for ensuring all operators are current with training requirements of company and contract Oversees Safety Incentives and programs managed effectively and consistently, including assignment of Safety Points Ensures all safety manuals, programs, policies and practices are current and meet the needs of the operating divisions Ensures all new hires meet minimum general qualifications for each division including background and DMV checks Ensures compliance with all company, client, and Department of Transportation regulations, policies, and procedures Other duties as required Requirements:
Strong Microsoft applications experience Ability to communicate effectively and work with all departments Knowledge of all applicable safety rules, regulations - FTA, FMCSA, and DOT Strong analytical skills Transit safety experience Strong organizational skills Ability to read, write and speak English The ability to manage and facilitate change Experience with food manufaturing Bachelor degree in related field or 5 years of equivalent experience in safety or compliance Job Type:
