Summary:
The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for agency-wide facility upkeep including but not limited to equipment repairs, construction and painting, HVAC maintenance, electrical work, plumbing, installation of data lines and switches, troubleshooting fiber optics and phone lines, and follow up of contracted work at all agency locations.
This position reports to the Maintenance/Facilities Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES Demonstrate superior customer service at all times.
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain building and equipment support systems, including forklifts, Big Joe lift, electric and pallet jacks.

Troubleshoot electronic/electrical components.
Carpentry:
Performs rough and finished carpentry work in construction and repair of structures such as partitions, walls, doors, fences, window frames, office furniture, roofs, and shelves.
Design, fabricate and construct assorted projects related equipment such as sorting tables and work benches.
Electrical:
Performs electrical installation and repair work in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs, cables, power circuits and appliances; repairs lighting systems; inspects electrical systems for unsafe conditions.
Plumbing/Painting:
Identifies and performs repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; opens clogged lines and drains; replaces washers and other minor parts; applies and prepares various surfaces for paint, enamel, lacquer, varnish, or stain; repairs wall coverings.
Information Technology:
Installation of data lines, Terminating RJ-45's, installation of data switches, repairing PC's, troubleshooting fiber optics and phone lines, Installation of hardware (i.
e.
new PC's, switches) Perform repairs to the grounds and buildings at multiple agency locations.
Perform HVAC maintenance including filter changes, coil cleaning and fuse changing.
Perform emergency on-call duties as required to monitor, secure, and protect the Agency grounds, equipment, and buildings.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High school diploma or accredited GED completion, or an industrial certification from an accredited training facility, or Journeymen card.
Experience:
Five years general facility/building and equipment maintenance at a journeyman level or above.
