We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about using current technologies to produce innovative solutions.
This position has a strong emphasis in media and data management for high performance server applications.
We need great developers to join our world-class team! Your primary responsibilities will be to develop highly efficient and highly available server applications for our world class IP security system.
These include the design and development of software that You will be involved in all aspects design, develop, debug, and deployment of our product while working with high powered teams to solve challenging problems, using leading edge tools within an agile development process.
In this role, you will extend our RESTful web services as defined, and accordingly implement the needed business logic.
This may include interactions with a NOSQL database or other system.
You will need to be creative, motivated and ready to work in a fast-paced and distributed environment.
You should be comfortable working with distributed server applications.
Requirements:
Proficient in Java and one other language Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Experience with implementing unit tests and code coverage for applications (jUnit, Mockito) Knowledge of software development environments on Linux (Eclipse) Experience with multithreaded application development Basic understanding of networking programming (Socket, HTTP) Extensive experience with RESTful web services (Jersey, RESTlet) Experience with NOSQL databases (Cassandra) Experience with source control (SVN) Passion to develop clean and easy to maintain software with extremely high quality standards.
Creative and efficient problem solving skills, with a desire to always hold yourself to a higher standard.
Able to communicate effectively, both in written and oral form with remote and on-site team members.
5 years software development experience.
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering (or related field) or 4 years of equivalent work experience.
