RESPONSIBILITIES :
Develops or directs the development of initial design concepts to support new product development, customer needs and requirements.
Directs department activities in designing new products, modifying existing designs, improving production techniques, and developing test procedures.
Analyzes technology trends, human resource needs, and market demand to plan projects.
Transfer new technology concepts into new product innovations and existing product line modifications.
Resolves or directs the resolution of engineering design or product operational problems.
Coordinates with Manufacturing, Marketing, Contracts and Quality Assurance and other groups to ensure required engineering documentation is established and maintained for each project.
Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
MUST HAVES:
Must have a background in stress engineering with an aerospace company.
Must have prior management experience.
